Idlewyld Manor is seeking casual Registered Nurses to join their team!

We are currently offering 12 hour shifts for Registered Nurses at Idlewyld Manor.

Idlewyld Manor is an accredited, non-profit charitable long-term care facility with 192 beds and situated on Hamilton’s west mountain. Our facility sits on a picturesque 13-acre corner lot surrounded by trees and lush gardens and is steeped in a rich history of community service of over 150 years.

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, this position ensures safe and effective medical care to our residents. This position is responsible for ensuring that all nursing processes and practices meet and/or exceed legislated care standards under the Long Term Care Homes Act, 2007, and Idlewyld Manor’s policies and procedures. The RN is responsible for directing and supervising care delivered by members of the nursing team, while providing positive and constructive feedback to the support team.  This position uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care and services to residents and lead the team in developing and maintaining the resident care plan.  The RN promotes a safe and secure environment for all.

Requirements: 

  • Must currently be in good standing as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario and hold current Certificate of Competence.
  • Experience working as a Registered Nurse, in-charge/team leader in a LTC setting with specific knowledge/skills in current geriatric nursing care and standards preferred.
  • French Language skills are an Asset.
